Michelle Wilbanks, D.V.M Dr. Wilbanks graduated Cum Laude with a B.S. in Biology from Sam Houston State University in 1993 and earned an additional B.S. in Veterinary Sciences from Texas A&M University in 1995.  She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 1998.  Between her first and second year of Veterinary school, Dr. Wilbanks had the opportunity to tour the research facilities for Waltham Nutrition (now a part of Royal Canin®) which is one of the reasons why she continues to believe in and promote their pet foods.  Dr. Wilbanks opened Sterling Paws Veterinary Hospital in the fall of 2004.  However, she is not an unfamiliar face to residents of Montgomery County.  Since graduation, she worked as an Associate Veterinarian with Triangle Animal Clinic in Conroe and provided Relief Veterinary Services for several clinics within Montgomery County including the Animal Emergency and Urgent Care Center of the Woodlands.  Dr. Wilbanks has lived in Montgomery County since 1993 along with her husband Jimmy and their two children, Jarrett born in 2000 and Austin born in 2003.  They are all active members of The Ark Family Church of Conroe.  The Wilbanks household is also blessed with 2 cats (Casey and Max)and three dogs (Tyler, Sushi and Merlin).  In her spare time, Dr. Wilbanks likes to scrapbook the family photo albums, go to the Houston Zoo and tinker in the garden.   She also loves to support her boys in whatever extracurricular activities they are participating in at the time.  Dr. Wilbanks and her entire staff strives to provide your pet with the most up-to-date and advanced medical and surgical services.  Dr. Wilbanks has met the continuing education requirements for the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (ABVP) for the last five years.   ABVP requires a total of 50 hours annually of continuing education which is 3x more than the state of Texas requires in order to maintain the highest level of care for you and your beloved family members.  Dr. Wilbanks also requires her staff to maintain the same level of dedication by attending several hours of continuing education annually.
